Founded in 1977, Down Syndrome of Louisville (DSL) has been a trusted resource for individuals with Down syndrome and their families for nearly five decades. In 2011, DSL merged with Down Syndrome Support Association of Southern Indiana, expanding its reach across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Today, the organization serves approximately 300 individuals annually.
As the only Gold Accredited Down Syndrome Association in the country, DSL provides specialized development and educational services through every stage of life, from prenatal diagnosis through adulthood. Through education, advocacy, and support, DSL empowers individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential while advocating for their rights and inclusion in education and everyday life.
