From your office to the Indiana Statehouse, One Southern Indiana wants to promote positive change by serving as the “Champions of Ideas” to achieve economic and business vitality for the region. Additionally, we strive to provide access to policy makers at all levels of government through forums, round-tables and one-on-one meetings.

Advocacy Agenda

The Advocacy Agenda provides the basis for 1si’s supported positions over the next 12 months. We will continue to monitor policies and any other issues that may arise. The goal of our Governing Principles, Priorities, and Call-to-Action items are to articulate the opportunities for and concerns of Southern Indiana businesses and to speak for them as one voice.

Join a State of Indiana Board, Commission or Council

One Southern Indiana, in conjunction with the office of the Governor of Indiana, is working to provide qualified and viable candidates residing or working in Clark and Floyd counties for consideration on gubernatorially appointed state boards, commissions, committees, councils and task forces.

Individuals do not need to be associated with 1si or a member of 1si to be considered. In addition, every Clark and Floyd County citizen who submits the required paperwork, regardless of age, race, gender, orientation, disability, the nation of origin, or religious or political affiliation will be submitted for consideration to the Office of the Governor, which is completely responsible for the final decision.
