Expansion Positions Copperwaite Design Group for Continued Growth in Region

New Albany, IN. (July 17, 2025)  Copperwaite Design Group, Inc, which includes Paul Primavera & Associates and Blankenbeker & Associates, a full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm, announces planned growth to 1000 Bell Lane in New Albany, IN.

The new office will complement the group’s existing operations in both Corydon and Jeffersonville, Indiana. The expansion includes over $4 million for the new site and building, renovations, and new machinery and equipment to support company growth. In addition, the company plans to hire 12 new employees, all above the county average wage, which will join its current 21 full-time Hoosier employees based in other regional locations.

“This expansion marks an exciting chapter for our team,” said Jason Copperwaite, Partner and President of Copperwaite Design Group. Investing in our physical footprint and growing workforce, we’re building upon decades of experience to meet the needs of a thriving region. We’re proud to continue serving communities across Southern Indiana and we look forward to creating new opportunities in the years ahead.”

Based on the company’s Indiana job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) committed an investment in Copperwaite of up to $100,000 in the form of incentive-based tax credits. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once Hoosiers are hired.

“We are excited to see Copperwaite Design Group continue to grow their reach and we’re elated to welcome their family of businesses to the City of New Albany,” said New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan. “This investment strengthens New Albany’s position as a hub for high-skill, high-wage careers in engineering and design, and further reinforces the city’s reputation as a great place to live, work, and build for the future.”

“Copperwaite Design Group’s expansion is a powerful example of homegrown success fueling regional growth,” said Lance Allison, President of One Southern Indiana. “By investing more than $4 million into their future right here in Southern Indiana, they’re not only deepening their community commitment, but helping shape the future of our region. The addition of new, high-paying jobs speaks volumes about their confidence in our talent and our community.”
