This committee’s mission is to help identify opportunities for younger professionals, typically forty years of age and younger, as they progress in their respective careers. This committee oversees the Mentoring Program, which brings together like-minded young professionals within One Southern Indiana into an informal, temporary partnership with business professionals so that the mentee can learn and grow from the knowledge and experience of the mentor. Additionally, the committee plans and executes 2 professional development workshops a year, along with the YP1si 360° Tour, an annual event that provides economic development education for young professionals through a “behind-the-scenes” tour of local businesses in Southern Indiana. By providing these beneficial opportunities to young professionals, the committee hopes to increase young professionals’ engagement and growth within One Southern Indiana and the local community.
