Indiana Boards & Commissions

The Fine Print

1si will maintain regular communications with the Office of the Governor as it relates to vacancies on work groups. 1si will also work to keep the citizens of Clark and Floyd county apprised of openings, new work groups and other related news and information via the 1si website.

· 1si will coordinate with the Office of the Governor to maintain, on our website, a list of all work groups for which the Governor makes appointments. Interested citizens may also request a copy of the list be sent via email by contacting Reny Keener at renyk@1si.org.

· Interested individuals may have to research each work group to see where their interests, skills and experience might be of use to the Governor. Some of these work groups have websites describing the roles, while others are referenced in state statute only. Specific details, such as time requirements for service, meeting locations, etc. will vary, but all work groups typically require a commitment to attending at least 75 percent of the meetings.

· Those interested must submit his or her professional resume. Due to the nature of disclosures required, your resume will be kept strictly confidential.

· 1si will maintain a database of interested individuals which will be transferred to the office of the Governor at least four times annually. Should a request come from the Governor’s office for recommendations to fill an immediate opening, 1si will transfer the name and information of every person who has expressed an interest serving on that particular work group within two business days.

· Clark and Floyd county citizens may request their name be put forth for consideration for as few as one and as many as five work groups. Citizens should choose the work groups for which they are qualified, available, and interested.

· Length of terms of the appointments vary with each work group. Those who submit their name for consideration must understand a vacancy on a desired group may not become available immediately.
