Creating a culture of inclusiveness throughout Southern Indiana

At One Southern Indiana, we believe diversity and inclusion drive innovation, business growth and profitability. Much more work is needed to embrace and advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We are investing in this now to move our organization and region forward. We need to ensure that 1si has employees, members, board directors and volunteers of every race, gender, age, orientation, and life experience so that we can gain new perspectives and better serve all businesses and this community. 1si strives to create a culture of inclusiveness throughout Southern Indiana. To this end, we have created our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, which is chaired by a member of the Executive Committee of our Board of Directors. The purpose of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is to collaborate with other 1si committees and ensure 1si’s purpose of growing all businesses and developing all talent to maximize the potential for economic growth and prosperity. Through honest conversation, thoughtful evaluation, and deliberative action, 1si will embrace all aspects of this work, including educating, establishing and promoting equity activities, in order to support every business working to succeed in Southern Indiana.
