 Sheraton Louisville Riverside Hotel Grand Opening the First Cooperative Ribbon Cutting for GLI and One Southern Indiana
Grand opening luncheon Thursday, June 26th
6.19.08 The Sheraton Louisville Riverside Hotel will hold its official Grand Opening on June 26. This will be the first joint ribbon cutting ceremony for Greater Louisville Inc. and One Southern Indiana.
Ambassadors from both organizations will attend the celebration. “This is a very exciting
occasion for GLI, and a wonderful example of our regional growth. The new Sheraton
Riverside is a terrific addition to the area,” says Joe Reagan, president and CEO of
Greater Louisville Inc.
“This grand opening celebration is definitely note-worthy,” says Michael Dalby,
president and CEO of One Southern Indiana. “The Sheraton represents the type of
business that will be an economic boon to both sides of the river. We are looking
forward to partnering with GLI in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Sheraton
hotel.”
A donation from the Sheraton Riverside and its parent company, MHI Hotel Services,
will be presented to the Special Olympics. Speakers at the luncheon will include area
mayors and hotel representatives. Lunch will be catered by the Bristol Bar &
Grille, located at the hotel. Hotel tours will be offered. This is an invitation only event.

The Sheraton Louisville Riverside hotel opened on April 24, 2008. This is the first
Sheraton property in the Louisville area and is owned and operated by MHI Hotel Services. The hotel is located at 700 W. Riverside Street in Jeffersonville, Ind. The hotel features 181 rooms and suites and over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 4,000-square-foot Riverside Ballroom.
