6.12.08 On Thursday, June 12, One Southern Indiana’s Network of Champions program blurred the imaginary Ohio River boundary line when Louisville and Indiana business professionals came together to network at the new Sheraton Hotel & Resort in downtown Jeffersonville, IN. 

“Over 60 Louisville businesses crossed the river to shake hands with 120 Indiana companies,” reports Kyle Morey, Vice President of Sales & Strategic Alliances for One Southern Indiana. “Relationships were formed.  Deals were made.  Lunches were set up.  Business happened.” 

“Almost every industry was represented today,” says Lin Schussler-Williams, Partner of Warren Technology - a Louisville-based company.  “We had folks from Connexions, IUS, Rauch Industries and MAC Construction to Louisville companies such as Business First, The Leukemia Society, Hosting.com and the Kentucky Center.  It was a great room to network.” 

Approximately 25% of “greater Louisville” businesses sit in Southern Indiana including manufacturing giants like SAMTEC, American Commercial Lines, and General Mills.  One Southern Indiana is providing programs like the Network of Champions to better unite the two business communities, to provide a vehicle to Indiana decision makers, and to improve the region’s bottom-line.

“They roll out the red carpet and put out the fine china,” says Cathi Wiley with Louisville-based MPI Printing. “One Southern Indiana has improved my bottom-line, literally.”

The Network of Champions is a monthly series of relationship-building programs designed to help both Indiana & Louisville businesses connect to decision makers, build a referral base, and brand their company through grass-roots campaigning. The only event of its kind, the Network of Champions builds the bridge between two progressive business communities.
